A Victoria, BC AI studio

I build the AI systems that run real businesses.

Cook & Company is a one-founder studio. I’ve run the businesses — real estate, building maintenance, contracting, aviation — and now I build the AI that runs them: answering, following up, calling, publishing, booking. Four apps are already live. Tell me what you want built.

The apps

Live products, not a portfolio of mockups.

Each one is a real, running AI operating system with its own name, its own market, and its own AI. More ship as the problems find me.

Why me

I've run the businesses. Now I build the software that runs them.

Cook & Company is a one-founder studio in Victoria, BC. Before the code, there were the businesses — real estate, building maintenance, contracting, even a stint in aviation. Years of doing the unglamorous operational work: chasing leads, answering the phone at all hours, keeping the CRM honest, following up when nobody else would.

That's the edge. I don't build software from the outside guessing at how a business runs — I build it from having run one. Every app here started as a problem I lived: the lead that got away because someone called first, the follow-up that never happened, the hours lost to work a system should have done.

So I build systems, not features. An AI that actually does the work — answers, writes, calls, books, publishes — not another dashboard for you to babysit. Then I put my name on it.

I've operated, not just observed

Real estate, building maintenance, contracting, aviation. I've run the businesses these systems are built for — so the software fits how the work actually happens, not how a slide deck imagines it.

I build whole systems, not features

Every app here is an operating system, not a widget. The AI answers, writes, calls, qualifies, books, and publishes — end to end — so you're running the business instead of running the tools.

AI that does the work

Not a chatbot bolted onto a form. The same AI that talks to you here is the one that would work your leads, coach your students, or publish your content — in your voice, on your terms.

Don’t fill out a form. Have a conversation.

Sage is the AI concierge for the studio — the same kind of AI I build for everyone else, pointed at my own business. Tell her about what you want built and she’ll tell you how I’d approach it, then pass your details straight to me.

Ask Sage…

The short version.

I design and build AI operating systems for real businesses, then run them as live products. Four are already live — NorthStar OS (real estate + business follow-up), AscendPrep (exam coaching), TapAndPost (social), and Strata OS (property management). New ones ship as the problems find me.

Yes — that's the point of this page. If you run a business with repetitive, high-stakes work that an AI could own (answering, following up, qualifying, scheduling, publishing), tell Sage what you want built or email me. I take on a small number of custom builds alongside the products.

I've operated the businesses I build for, so the systems fit reality. And I build the whole loop — the AI does the actual work in your voice, not just point you at a form. One system instead of six subscriptions duct-taped together.
